Here's a quick shout out to all the moms out there. Thanks for helping to mold your children into responsible adults that can take care of me and everyone else (as well as the planet, etc) when I am too old to help out myself.
I want to say a special hello to my mom, who raised three great (ahem, if I do say so myself) kids whilst moving all over the U.S. on the Army's whim. It isn't easy...I am doing it now.
To Pam, my sister, who has two beautiful daughters, with a SON on the way (whooopeee)....boys are different. Start resting up now!
To my wonderful children....Joe, with his heart of gold and contagious smile....Tim, whom I never get tired of talking with...and Lily, my beautiful little one....I am so honored to be your mom! Each of you fills my heart with joy everytime I see you smile. I am so proud of each of you!
Mother's Day was a busy one here...I went to church (it isn't mother's day here in Norway) and celebrated Pentecost and 1st Communion. There were 8 little ones from 5 different countries going through their 1st Communion in the English speaking community. I was the lector and was proud to participate in this very special day for them.
I came home and started cooking and cleaning. I had invited 4 other Barcelona students and their host families to come over for the afternoon and for dinner. There was about 30 people over and everyone left full and tired. Mission copmlete!
Monday is a holiday in Norway, to honor Pentecost. The Barcelona students will be going on a fjord cruise for four hours with a barbecue afterwards with all of us. Another beautiful day!
