Stockholm, Sweden

The Vasa war ship that sailed all of 300 yards a bored royal guard at the palace Inside the beautiful St. Clara kirke A fruit market in a town square. Rich bought a kilo of black cherries, not realizing how much that really is! This has to be one of my favorite pictures of the whole trip....my brother, Craig and my husband, Rich These are amazingly detailed and uncomfortable-looking! The water pump in the square in Gamle Stan, dating back to the 15th century and marking the center of Stockholm. No offense, but this is not what I imagined one of the royal guard of the Swedish palace to look like....what happened to the blonde hair? :o) Our first stop was Stockholm, Sweden. We had a great time looking around the Gamlestan (old town) and then later seeing the Vase museum (a huge warship that sunk 333 years ago on it's maiden voyage.....and stayed completely intact in the brackish waters of the fjord until pulled up to land in 1961). We had to catch water taxis to and from different areas in the city. Craig, Mayra and I almost missed the boat (literally) as our water taxi was a bit later than we thought and made it aboard with all of 5 minutes to spare before they pulled up the gangways! (This really made Rich nervous, by the way....he was pretty glad to see me!)
