Hola!

As many of you know, my boys take Spanish as one of their foreign language requirements (they also take Norwegian). Last year Joe participated in a foreign exchange program with a school from Barcelona. This year Tim is in the program. Tim was in Barcelona for 9 days towards the end of November. He stayed with a family in Barcelona while he was there. They have a son named Alex and he is now here with us for 10 days. He is a pleasant young man. He is freezing his patootie off though. It's been averaging 8-10 C lately (45-50 F) and very windy. A little cooler than he is used to! His class (all 26 of them) arrived Friday afternoon. Alex has to shadow Tim for those 10 days...but not in class. During class time, Tim goes to his regular classes and all the exchange students take field trips and special classes just for them. It's a really neat experience. On Saturday, Tim had a baseball game. They were short some players so Alex got to play in his first baseball game! It was a lot of fun! The two of them have been off shooting baskets, playing "epic" games of ping pong and playing guitar hero in the basement. So far, so good!
