On the farm with Grandma & Grandpa Neitzke
Lily gets her very first haircut from someone who knows how to do it! She never smiled but she never cried either...
Lily smells one of the "flowers" she picked in Grandma's yard.

Grandpa Neitzke takes a good look at Lily's "Christmas tree" (it's just her size, just ask her) that she decorated with flowering weeds from the backyard. It was actually kinda pretty. She also put some dandelions in Grandpa's Christmas tree - a bigger evergreen tree that was near her little one.

Lily found a treasure in Grandpa's corn crib...an antique tractor!
Grandpa wasn't there to see this in real life but I am guessing he'll like this picture a lot...it has an antique tractor AND his granddaughter in it!

Okay, this aged me significantly...my Godson, Auggie Neitzke, graduated from high school! We were so thrilled to be there for his graduation openhouse! Of course we told him that we flew all the way from Norway to make it for him.... :o)
We left very early on June 4th to head to Michigan...(thank you Julie for picking us up at 0430!!) I would say it was the crack of dawn, but at this time of year in Norway, it had been daylight for awhile already. We flew to Frankfurt, Germany and then to Detroit. We had a few hours to drive from Detroit but made it to Wheeler, Michigan in the late afternoon of the same day. It was a long trip but we made it and settled in with very little jet lag. (we were pleasantly surprised). We stayed a week and even though we had some really bad weather in the area the first three days we were there, we had a great time visiting.
