Lily and Cheyenne
With all this talk of a new dog coming into the house, Lily has taken a new look at our old dog....Cheyenne, our 10 year old Siberian husky. She has taken to "taking Chey for walks" throughout the house. Often she takes her Pooh suitcase with her...like she is going away on holiday or something. When Cheyenne gets fed up with the game (which doesn't take long), Chey just lays down and won't move. We have had several crying jags from the result of this move.
What does she keep in this Pooh suitcase, you ask? Her friends...she has a few small stuffed animals from the Pooh stories....perhaps a book or two. Her current favorite is "Pig-a-pancake" in Lily speak or to the rest of us, "If You Give A Pig A Pancake". The boys had their spring band concert the week this was taken. It was 2.5 hours long and Lily and I ended up in the front row. (a negative calorie concert for this mom of a 3 year old...even better was that the farmer across the street decided that was the perfect evening to spread manure on his field....) She found some of my headbands and wristbands I used for working out. She remembered the "band" part of that name and calls them "band concerts"... I am quite impressed at how well she puts them on herself! What a character! She looks like an aerobics queen or an Okinawan taiko drummer....we can't really decide!
